Armin 450th Asot Wroclaw mix is ready :)

There is 2 hours of great music, and now you can remember or feel the great ambiance & lights of this show ! After quite a lot of hours of editing & so on, this is !

You can get it in your mail box, for your HD player / Computer or DVD player :

All you have to do is to send to me whatever you like (Postcard, Draw, Picture... ), and I will send you back a DVD (please state if you want to play on Blu-ray or DVD player).

Hello,

Done :
- Synchronisation of various videos (friendly uploaded on my FTP, or even by post letter !)
- Edit of 2 hours of AvB'mix (about 25 cameras)

To be Done :
- "Fixation" of the second half of video edits (that mean : watch & correct what is obvious) (1 day)
- To fill blank parts of mix (there is about 5 min of mix where I was unable to find any videos...) with pictures.
- Titles (should take 1h only, after this written !)
- Maybe, audio remix since radio record is heavy compressed (I guess it was broadcast with something like MP2 192kbit/s) (2 days ?)
- Choose of "distribution" : Blu-ray (2.5 EUR), HD on 2 DVD (0.50 EUR), DVD-Video (0.25 EUR), of course, everybody will be able to download it from an high speed FTP, or just watch it online. About physical medias, I don't plan to make any money from that (or what ever), so I have to check how much could it costs to send them. I also have to check about frequency, since project is 60i, because i'm not sure theses new hdtv sets sold in EU are able to display 60i. No reason why not, but sometimes EU equipements are limited.

If nothing goes wrong (in project and in my litle life), we can expect an "in street" date of 1st September.

I've now done 1h30 of edited video, there is still some missing parts and 30" of edit to see the end.
I've been helped by few people about this, thanks a lot (Fuze1, TheMpMiSTRzu, Emkus, KazMax...), and I really hope that at least you will enjoy all of that.

That's still a draft (of 30" minutes edited), by watching it I was able to see a lot of mistakes (somes are stupid, somes are just not looking like I was expecting)

I've put this online in order to get new videos for the few missing parts (not in 30st minutes), and advices in comments.

PS : Oh, yeah, quality here is REALLY bad. You have to expect something good for HD TV sets at the end ;-)

After two mornings of synchronisations...

Looks like easy isn'it ? Just try so to be 1-2 frame accurate inside a 2 hours audio clip (with a camera sound who is often doing "boom schrrr boom schrrr boom...")

A least, I still enjoy to see pictures and listen to this set :-)

First, thanks you for taking time to participate in this project.

1 - Make your files ready

a) Date & time informations :

Often, your video or photo file contain datas about Date & Time. Theses are very usefull to me if they are acurate.

So, if you know how to check it, and if your camera have an accurate time (or you can fix it, simply shoot a clock, see the difference, and you will be fixed !).

Please write it in the name of your file in this way :

HH-MM-SS(your filename).(mp4/avi/jpg/mov...)

HH is hour in 24h format

MM is minutes

SS is seconds if you have, if not please write XX instead.

If you don't know about theses things, just let files as they are.

b) File itself :

Please don't zip/convert/recompress it, except if it's very specific file format (.raw pictures)

2 - Upload !

a) What do I need ?

You need an FTP client. If you need advice, I would recommend you FileZilla. It's opensource and free. You can download it there : http://filezilla-project.org/download.php?type=client

b) How should I place my files ?

just create a folder in one of "main" folders (Dj Name), with you "shortname". And send your files in your dedicated folder.

When you have sent everything you can/want to share, please send to me an e-mail at ocal586@gmail.com, with what you want be writted on videos : Shortname (e-mail adress if you prefer), and where you come from : City and Country.

Idea in mind

Hi,

This is the idea : Lots of people were shooting pictures, recording videos during this event.

This event was great, audio recording is great, so why video would not be ?

That's maybe 12% of the show, maybe you have what miss to me ?

I sometimes do editing, but for sure not that big, not that way. So, first, my goals :

- Get enough records : I'm going to let an FTP server online. I will have to wait to get maximum number of "reporters" to put their records. Should takes... 1 month ?

- Edit Armin Van burren Set. Because it should be the one that more people want at first.

- Share it : Main project will be 1280*720 @ 30i/s, and will be shared everywhere it is possible.

- Share it² : FTP files will stay online as long as possible, so if you want to download and edit as well you're free to do so. But please understand that 1Mbit/s is slow !

- Credits : They will be write on video, format will be : shortname, city, country. In order to show from how many countrys somes have come to be in !

For sure, if you have an audio record who is not a radio recording (I already have theses) and who sound goods (No... from soundboard, dank u !), it's very welcome !

Who am I ?

A listener of ASOT, a participant of ASOT450 @ Wroclaw, and actually a French guy who live in Paris, is 24 y.o. (and who don't need to date, thanks :-P ), and working in satellite field (video transmissions).
